"Felt like I kept getting passed around"
I used Earnin a few times and the app itself was fine for the most part, but dealing with support really wore me down.
I had an issue with a cash out and it took days before I got an actual helpful answer. The first few replies felt like copy-paste responses, and it seemed like I kept getting passed from one person to another without anyone really reading what I said. It did get fixed eventually, but only after I kept following up. Not the worst experience ever, but definitely frustrating when you’re counting on the money quickly.

"Works fine, but the card thing drove me nuts"
The app does what it’s supposed to do, so that’s good, but I nearly lost my mind when I found out my debit card isn’t supported. Like, it works overall, but not being able to use my card was way more frustrating than it needed to be.

I just wanted to cancel my account, but the whole process turned into a drawn-out hassle. It felt like I was being forced to stay patient through extra steps and delays when it should’ve been quick and simple.

"Why was getting a cash advance so complicated?"
I tried earnin because I needed money fast, but the whole cash advance process took way longer than I expected. It just kept saying it was processing, and I was sitting there like, why is this so complicated when the point is supposed to be quick cash? By the time the money finally came through, it didn’t really help me anymore. Frustrating, especially since speed was the main reason I used it.

"Not really comfortable with the privacy stuff"
I gave Earnin a try , but I didn’t feel great about how much info it wanted from me . Connecting my bank , sharing paycheck details , location access , all of that felt like a lot just for a small cash advance . The settings were also a little confusing , so I wasn’t totally sure what I was agreeing to or what was being shared . I’m sure it works fine for some people , but for me , the privacy and security side just didn’t feel right

"Express fees are way too high"
I needed to get some cash quickly, so I went with the express transfer, but I was disappointed by how much the fee was. It feels way too expensive for something that’s supposed to just help in a pinch.

"The advance limit feels unfairly low"
The advance limit is just way too low. When someone actually needs a little help, it barely lets you borrow enough to make a difference. It feels kind of unfair to advertise support but then keep the limit so small when people are counting on it.

"Took the money before my paycheck hit"
Earnin pulled the repayment sooner than I thought they would, and it ended up throwing my account off. I figured they’d wait until my paycheck actually came in, but they didn’t, and that part was weird. Because of the timing, I had to deal with fees I wasn’t expecting. i’m not planning to use it again.

"The overdraft risk makes me nervous"
The overdraft risk is my biggest issue with this app. If the timing is even a little off, cashing out can leave your bank account short, and those fees can hit "fast." When you’re already tight on money, that kind of defeats the whole point. I’d just say be "really careful" before using it...

"Transactions just don’t line up"
Earnin keeps showing transaction amounts that don’t match what I’m seeing in my bank account. I’ll check my bank and see one amount, then open the app and it says something else. It’s frustrating because I’m trying to keep track of my money, not, actually, I’m trying not to stress over every little balance change. At this point I just don’t really trust the balance in the app anymore.

"Still waiting for refund"
I was told the refund was on the way, but it’s been weeks now and I still haven’t seen anything. Every time I contact support, they give me same answer and then nothing actually changes. It’s getting really frustrating at this point.

"Payroll Verification Still Wouldn’t Go Through"
I kept getting asked to verify my payroll even after I uploaded everything they asked for. I thought maybe I missed something, but no, well, at least nothing I could find. It just kept sending me in circles and ended up feeling like a total waste of time...

"Really frustrating when the app won’t stay open"
The app used to work fine for me, but lately it’s been crashing and glitching way too much. It freezes on the loading screen, shuts down when I’m trying to update my hours, and randomly gives me a “something went wrong” message even when I haven’t done anything unusual.
I did reach out to support, but I mostly got the same basic suggestions, and reinstalling the app didn’t fix it. I understand apps have bugs sometimes, but it doesn’t feel fair when people are relying on this to track hours and get paid, and the app won’t even stay open long enough to use it.

"Maybe it’s just me, but the reminders are a lot"
Maybe it’s just me, but the notifications started feeling overwhelming quickly. The reminders seem to pop up all the time, and after a while it got more annoying than helpful.

"The eligibility stuff was frustrating"
I tried signing up, but the eligibility rules kept getting in the way, which was annoying. I have a steady job and regular bank deposits, so I figured I’d be fine, but I still got told I didn’t qualify — with no real explanation. Felt like a waste of time.

I really want to like this app, but every time I open it, something seems to glitch or take way too long to load. Sometimes buttons don’t respond the way I expect, and even finding basic things feels more complicated than it should be. "Account hold turned into a whole headache"
My account got put on hold and I had no idea why. At first I figured, okay, maybe it’s just a quick security check or something. But then support took forever to get back to me and gave me basically no useful answers. I was trying to stay patient, but nope, it ended up throwing off my whole week and I got frustrated.

"The extra costs really sneak up on you"
I don’t mind tipping when the service is good, but after a while it starts to feel like every little charge gets stacked on top of the next and by the time you add the fees, the tip, and whatever else shows up at checkout, the total is way higher than I expected.
